Founded in 2023 by Elizabeth VanSant, MTL, MT-BC, Eastside Music Therapy is a values driven and growing practice focused on quality care and community impact. Elizabeth is dedicated to building a collaborative, supportive environment where therapists are empowered to grow, share ideas, and shape the future of the practice.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a music therapist who is:
Deeply aligned with neurodiversity-affirming, strengths based, and client-led
principlesExcited to help build and shape a growing team
Committed to authentic relationships with clients, caregivers, and colleagues
Interested in long-term growth and collaborative practice development
What We Offer
$30 - $32/hour, for all hours worked, up to 20 hours per week
IRS mileage reimbursement (currently $0.70/mi)
Paid time off, accrued annually:
8 days vacation
4 sick days
5 paid holidays
$200/month healthcare stipend
CMTE reimbursement (up to $100/year)
50% coverage of:
CBMT maintenance fees
WA MT license renewal
Professional Liability Coverage provided
Weekly individual supervision
Equipment provided: Guitar, iPad, Bluetooth speaker
Access to shared instrument and materials library
What You’ll Do
Deliver affirming, individualized music therapy across age groups and abilities
Conduct strengths-based assessments and co-create meaningful, client-led experiences
Communicate and collaborate with caregivers
Maintain timely, accurate documentation and scheduling
Manage session prep, materials, mileage, and travel
Participate in team meetings, advocacy efforts, and program growth
(After one year) Provide practicum or intern supervision opportunities
Requirements
MT-BC (required) and MTL eligible
Experience with neurodivergent individuals (required); memory care/older adult populations (preferred)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong communication and documentation skills
